Profile Summary

Dimitra is passionate about bridging research thinking and real-world practice for impact evaluation of programmes and interventions in the health & social care sector. She started her journey in this sector 20 years ago, supporting individuals, groups and organisations to overcome barriers and achieve positive change. She holds academic qualifications and clinical training in Psychology and Psychotherapy, with the latest one being a Professional Doctorate with a research focus in 'Demystifying Art Therapy'. She is interested in systematically capturing practitioner's tacit knowledge and exploring mechanisms of change. She has extensive experience and broad knowledge of working and leading in third sector environments where the challenge of measuring outcomes for funded projects and interventions can be either a hindrance or an opportunity. Her more recent career steps include Monitoring-Evaluation-Learning (MEL) consultancy of social change projects with a particular interest in creative arts research methods for reflexivity, participation and engagement.

In her free time, Dimitra uses Music&Imagery for reflection and self-care, she loves painting and writing, as well as visualising her next steps in personal and professional development. She also volunteers her time and expertise as a Trustee for a local mental health charity organisation.
